SHIPPING & RETURN FAQs

Why am I being charged a restocking fee?

Restocking fees are standard in the auto parts industry, often 20-35%. They help deter extraneous returns that often happen when someone is trying to diagnose a problem with their vehicle by ordering multiple parts and returning the ones they don’t need. The restocking fee also covers material costs and the time and labor of our employees to process the order, pack the product, ship it to you, and to process the return.

We set our restocking fee to 15% to still perform the function of the fee, but to be less of a burden on customers.

How long do I have to return an item?

While core returns have a 30-day return window, we can accommodate returns for all other orders as long as you notify us within 90 days of the purchase date.

CORE FAQs

What is a core?

In the automotive industry, a “core” is a used or non-working part that is able to be refurbished or repaired. Cores are a very important component to the auto parts industry, as they allow a continuous supply of certain products. Many of these products are often discontinued by their manufacturers after only a few years and do not have many aftermarket options.

By purchasing a rebuilt product, you are contributing to the continued availability of that product for future customers, as well as reducing waste by effectively recycling a non-functioning part.

What is a core charge?

A core charge, also referred to as a “core deposit” is an additional charge added to your order as an incentive to return the old unit you are replacing. Once your core is returned to us, we refund the deposit. If you are unable to provide a core, the deposit is not refunded and those funds are used to purchase a replacement core from another source.

If the part you are buying does not include a core price, then you are not required to send a core to us.

How do I return a core?

Manufacturers have strict guidelines when it comes to receiving cores, so we must follow their rules when accepting core returns from our customers. In order to properly return a core, make sure it is drained of any and all fluids (if applicable). Place the core in a durable plastic bag and seal it. Use the original manufacturer’s box (the one your new part arrived in). Pack the manufacturer’s box and a copy of your original packing slip/invoice in a suitable shipping box.

If you do not have the original packing slip or invoice, please include a piece of paper that has your name, order number, and reason for returning the item. You can print and fill out this form if you prefer. This will help prevent any delays in the processing of your core deposit refund.

Make sure there are no other labels or barcodes on the shipping box and drop off the package to any carrier, addressed to:

Customers are responsible for the cost of the shipping label for any core returns. Cores must be returned within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for the core refund.
